I’ve been commissioned to produce images that showcase majestic, powerful landscapes and travel experience. I capture stories that inspire people to reconsider their relationship with nature and the importance of its preservation. My goal is to continue working on creative, original and inspiring photographic projects.

As a former Ecotourism manager, Diego’s work has been always related to nature, the beauty of its landscapes and the way humans relate to it. Before becoming a photographer, he worked in different projects on the conservation and tourism scene, projects that allowed him to immerse himself in some of the purest natural environments on earth, places such as the wetlands of the Pantanal in Brazil working with jaguars, The Great Barrier Reef in Australia working with researchers of whales, sharks and turtles, and Fernando de Noronha Island in Brazil where he worked intensively with sea turtles.

In a 5 year journey around the world, his work got him from Chile to Australia, Brazil, Portugal, USA, China and India, to say a few. These experiences built him as the person he is today, that allows him to relate with people from different cultures, in territories with extreme landscapes and cityscapes, and to develop an eye for images that showcases every scene at its best. As a result of this experience abroad, Diego is fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese.

Since 2012 and for the next 4 years, he was the main assistant for Chilean photographer Guy Wenborne, where he was able to work with Landscape and Editorial photography through Chile, covering an area of more than 5000 kilometers, through the air, by sailboat and 4 wheel drive.

As part of his training, Diego has worked and assisted different photographers and creatives like Mathieu YoungArt Strieber, Dana Patrick, Mario Patrocinio, Daniel Gil, and also collaborated with different production companies such as BRO Cinema in Portugal and Chronos Cinema in Chile and California.

Close·Up Chile

In 2015 he started the Project Close·Up Chile, a first on its kind Landscape Photography Gallery in Latin America. He gathered some of the best Chilean landscape photographers in one place to showcase their work and make it accessible to the public. The gallery sold and delivered Fine-Art prints to Chile, North America, Europe and Australia. In the pursuit of further personal goals, Diego closed the gallery in 2017 and left to Los Angeles & Lisbon to start working with different brands and industries, from travel and tourism, to advertisement and lifestyle.
